Show-Reel

This is a compilation of all of my videos it comprises of all seven of them each clip is approximately one minute long the idea is to give you a brief overview of all of my videos.

Scratching in The Dark

Scratching in The Dark is a performance piece done at the Passmore-Edwards Building in Helston. It was an exhibition called 'The Dark Rooms', curated by Jesse Leroy Smith.

I was dressed up in a black skin suit with a white mask to cover my identity. I also had a headlight with night vision which was red light and wore metal talon gloves.

My aim was to produce an annoying, uncomfortable scratching sound. This was achieved by attaching an amplifier to the metallic bowl, which had fake blood in, and by the microphone I had, attached to my head, picking up the sounds of scratching as I went about making marks all over the walls in the dark.

The Dark Rooms Final Performance

The Dark Rooms Final Performance is a collaborative performance, with Jesse Leroy Smith, Alex Goodman and myself.

The performance is about the destruction of the giant head. Jesse was inside the head which was on wheels. Alex and myself performed out side the head the performance was totally ad hoc.

Entangled

This was the first of a series of video performances where I set up an installation with double sided sticky tape in a space, I dressed up in a black wig, large sunglasses, red swimming costume and red lipstick to hide my identity. I then interact , by walking around within the space and become entangled with the tape, I freed myself by cutting the hair of the wig.

Entangled II

Second performance of Entangled. Edited to be seen in black and white. It is a performance piece that records my engagement with an environment that I created from strips of double sided sticky tape. In this performance I appear in a more natural state as usually my identity is hidden with various props.

Entangled III

This is the third performance of a series of entangled it is a performance piece that records my engagement with an environment that I created from strips of double sided sticky tape.
I am dressed in a flesh coloured skin suit with a blond wig attached to it, this is to hide my identity.

Eyelid Journey

I wanted to get the sense of colour through my eye lids on a sunny day while traveling, I travel by train to get to uni and often close my eyes and see the changes in colour and sometimes patterns while traveling on the train.  I wanted to achieve this, so  by covering the lens of the video camera with red gel film and white paper to get the same effect as I see when I look at my eye when closed. I recorded the train journey with the coloured  film lens up against the window.

 Hand Slapping

Hand Slapping is a sound performance. I am listening to the perfect slapping sound. I wanted just the hands and forearms to be visible as if they were isolated body parts
